Shemek Fedyczkowski is the CEO of Sequoya entities in Canada and Europe and Co-Founder. Shemek launched Sequoya Cannabis Ltd as a spin off from Sequoyalife, a CBD premium products manufactuer in Europe. Before co-founding the Sequoya group of companies Shemek spent 22 years in the IT industry, mainly in the banking sector, leading multinational organizations & startup stage companies earlier in his career. Most notably, Shemek’s lastest role as Director of Operations & Strategic Partnerships at Skelia, an IT solutions company serving the Belgian Government and clients across North America. Shemek lead the company to double the size while expanding into new service & technology offerings.
Prior Shemek was a Managing Director at Epam Systems in Poland, a NYSE listed IT solutions firm. During this tenur he was responsble for growing the company by 450 employees and diversifing to new industries, primarily business critical banking services.
Across the growth stages he filled senior management & administration positions and lead expansion into new offices across the region.
Before Epam Shemek spent 3 years at IBM leading European organizations serving global clients. Namely Lead Service Manager of Swiss Resinsurance, a $50 million dollar contract, followed by the role of Service Management Leader of European Operations, a department of 600 staff across Europe and serving clients in the banking, airline and automotive industries.
Before his career leading multinational orgs, Shemek founded 2 successful startups, Cleo Networks, an IT solutions company with it’s core product developed by Shemek and Creative Avenue Communications, a marketing company which he sold to a national marketing agency. Shemek is a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, and has a BA from SFU.
